Young Geographer of the Year

Pupils have a fantastic opportunity to enter a prestigious national competition run by the Royal Geographical Society which allows students to explore the Geography of their favourite place.

This could be on a local scale such as a local football stadium, local town or park up to a national or international scale such as their favourite holiday destination or city. This could also be a place that they are just interested in or would just like to visit in the future.
To enter this renowned competition, students should produce one A3 poster focusing on an area of their choice. The semi-final deadline for applications in school is Friday 6th October 2017.  A maximum of 10 entries can be submitted between KS3 and KS4. All pupils who enter the competition will receive a certificate of commendation from the Royal Geographical Society and winners will be invited to an awards ceremony in South Kensington, London.
If students are interested in entering this competition, please see members of the Geography department for further details and guidance.
